See my third picture. This is double sided transparent tape. Put it on the inside of the base and top, between the mortice slots, and peel the red layer off the second side. If you don't use this, the box falls apart when you pick it up. The tape is wide enough to grip the edges of the mirror (the "Lens x 1") which it shows in the bottom. This has a protective film on just the mirrored side.
The finished article works well as a simple, low cost, glass free display cabinet.
I mulled taking a star off for the awful instructions but if you follow mine above, it all works.

The display cases allow the models to really shine! Dust free and very eye catching. Everything you need is in the box.
I found that the black top and base material was quite flimsy and unfortunately, I cracked one of the slots of the top piece when inserting it onto the back panel. Also, for enthusiasts who like to use light kits, a small hole should be made in either the side or the back panel for cables.

Pro's:
Looks great, especially when lit up.
Pretty easy to build the display case, I didn't need instructions
It comes with a usb white light string and a usb coloured light string kit. 30 LEDs on each.
Really useful cotton gloves included to prevent fingerprints.
Easy to put models into the case and take out again. The front panel is a sliding door.
The mirrored material is reversable. Clear on one side and blue tint on the other side.

Cons:
Using just a little force can cause damage, especially to the slots on the black top and base.
Expensive considering the top and base materials used.
If using light kits, there are no small holes in the side or back panels to feed the cables.

A fantastic case, the sliding door makes for re-posing hassle free. The case is more or less sealed, slight dust seeps through over time, mine personally did not come with the L lock in fasteners, overall sturdy - don't expect something rock solid but relatively good quality. You need to remove the plastic film for instal and the black wood pieces are soft wood making for customization easy. The display fits 4, 1/6th scale collectibles easy, the photo is only three but i have four clones in there now, and seems to be enough space to fit a fifth. I purchased the 35x35x35 and it is excellent, not too big, not too small but just the right size for collectibles. Overall does the job, the next level up from this product are metal acrylic cases and much larger in size i.e. moducase that fetch $250 +, so a good price point as well. The only thing i would have liked more is the specifics on UV reduction capabilities - i’ve done extensive research on arylic cases and they do indeed offer UV radiation reduction although, only time will tell. Finally, with comparable offering on amazon this is the best, trust me when i tell you the sliding door is a godsend, the other ones you have to remove the entire case from the base plate for re-posing and its a nightmare.
