      I have looked at the Samsung Community and it seems that this fault is well known to Samsung for many years. No known work around - useless now for recording, otherwise TV and its apps work for catchup etc. very well

      The 55" is a WOLED not a QD (Quantum Dot) OLED like the 65". After lengthy research this was confirmed to me by both Samsung UK and a major Retailer. Samsung do not make this clear and Ratings online information is WRONG.

      What this means is that whilst the 55" model is certainly not bad (it uses the same panel as an LG C4) you WILL NOT get the larger colour volume and colour depth of a Quantum Dot OLED panel. For this you need to upgrade to the 65" model.

      I hope this will help someone.
